VAN WERT, Ohio - Samuel A. Wise, 63, of Van Wert, died at 1:18 a.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013, at his residence.
He was born June 4, 1949, in Van Wert, to the late Clara (Schwartz) Wise and Robert Wise.
His wife, Morgan Orr Wise, survives of Van Wert.
Other survivors include children: Todd Samuel Wise of Chillicothe, Ohio, Shawn Wise of Indiana; Eric (Kimberly) Wise of Indiana and Spencer (Erika) Wise of Van Wert; brothers: Jim (Brenda) Wise of Michigan and Jeff (Teresa) Wise of Convoy, Ohio; sisters: Julie (Steve) Youtsey of Ohio and Sara (Joel) Haller of Michigan, and nine grandchildren.
He retired from Vancrest Healthcare Center, Van Wert. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, a motorcycle enthusiast, an avid woodworker and loved hunting and fishing.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at the funeral home.
