CONVOY, Ohio - Sandra J. "Sandy" Taylor, 65, of Convoy, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert, Ohio.
She was born April 24, 1948, in Decatur, Ind., to the late Ernestine J. (Dunmire) Taylor and Thomas H. Taylor.
Survivors include her children: Tommy A. (Lisa) Myers of Springboro, Ohio, and Todd M. (Lisa) Myers of Convoy, Ohio, beloved cousin: Mary Jane O'Brien of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and grandchildren: Courtney, Cameron, Tayla and Nora.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Tommy Taylor.
She retired from Dana Corporation in Ft. Wayne and had also owned/operated The Tavern in Convoy for 11 years. She was a member of the Van Wert V.F.W. and American Legion Auxiliary Posts. Sandy enjoyed life with her family and friends.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Gearhart-Jurczyk Funeral Home, Convoy. The Rev. Lee Genter will officiate. Private family burial will take place at Monroeville Cemetery, Monroeville, Ind.
Visitation is set for 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Convoy Preschool.
