Sharon Scott

Sharon R. Scott, 71, of Van Wert, died at 10:43 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Parkview Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was born April 12, 1945, in Van Wert, to the late Romine (Bayles) Feasby and Ralph E. Feasby. Her husband, Bernerd Scott, survives of Van Wert. They were married July 3, 1962.

Other survivors include children, Judy (Michael) Reiter of Vine Grove, Kentucky, David B. (Debora) Scott of Van Wert; sisters, Anna (Danny) Dunlap of Van Wert, Penny Tyler of Rockford, Ohio, Nancy Riley of Celina, Ohio, Debbie (Dave) Keuneke of Rockford; grandchildren, David (Gina Groves-Pavel) Pavel of Kentucky, Scott Pavel of Tennessee, Steven Reiter of Pennsylvania; great-grandchild, Shelby King; step grandchildren, Katie (Adam) Nuir of Antwerp, Ohio, Kody McCague of Van Wert, Sabrina Gergely of Van Wert, Dezy and James Groves of Kentucky; step-great grandchildren, Olivander, Makenzie, Madison and Cullen, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Feasby, and a brother-in-law, Cliff "Butch" Tyler, Jr.

She worked most of her life in the retail industry and retired as a processor from Walmart after 20 years. In addition to being an OSU Buckeye fan, Sharon enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and following Dale Jr. and NASCAR. She loved tending to her roses and keeping up to date on her family and friends on Facebook.

Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.

Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is National Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association.
