VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Sharon L. Sheets, 69, of Van Wert, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born March 13, 1945, in Van Wert, to Paul Swartz, who survives of Van Wert, and the late Frances (Price) Swartz.
Her husband, David Sheets, survives of Van Wert. They were married Dec. 18, 1966.
Other survivors include her children: Stacia Burlingame of Dayton, Ohio, and Devin (Shay) Sheets of Van Wert, sisters: Wanda Sue (Jack) Krick of Winter Haven, Florida, and Brenda (Jim) Welch of Wetzel, and grandchildren: Anniston and Ainsley Burlingame, Wade, Wren and Will Sheets.
She was preceded in death by a sister: June Klinger.
She was a retired cosmetologist in the Van Wert area for many years. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Van Wert. She was a 1963 graduate of Lincolnview High School, an avid bunko player, and a member of Twigs.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Greg Wack and Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert County 4-H Exchange Club or Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
