Shelva Browning

Shelva Jean Browning, 71, of Van Wert passed away early morning on July 16, 2021 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice. She was born on September 29, 1949, in Lima, OH, to her late parents, Samuel J. Davis and the l Martha (Prine) Bendele.

Shelva attended Delphos St. John High School. She lived in Wisconsin for more than 30 years, returning to the area recently due to health issues.

Surviving are her daughters: Angie (Gary) Stegaman of Van Wert; Angel (Sherman) Baker of Montpelier; brothers: Sam Davis Jr of Eveansport; Bobby Davis of TN; sisters: Peggy (Mike) McClaine of Bryan; Helen (Harold) Thomas of Van Wert; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; an several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shelva was preceded in death by brothers: Billy and Larry Miller; sisters: Marsha Miller; Judy Double and Vera Yocklin.

A celebration of Shelva's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shelva`s memory may be sent to CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice.
