Shirley Bidlack

Shirley A. Bidlack, 91, of Grover Hill, died at 9:57 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at Vancrest Nursing Home, Van Wert, Ohio. She was born July 13, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio, to Viola (Roberts) Thrasher and Dennis Thrasher. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, R. Paul Bidlack, survives. They were married Oct. 2, 1943.
Other survivors include her children, Connie (Tom) Baldwin of New Haven, Indiana, Paulette (Richard) Stemen of Payne, Ohio, Patricia Bidlack of Grover Hill and Rudy (Ellen) Bidlack of Scott, Ohio; daughters-in-law, Cheryl Bidlack of Van Wert and Jenni Bidlack of Grover Hill; grandchildren, Angie Wyss, Shari Hegerfeld, Christie Wright, Broc Bidlack, Brian Bidlack, Kent Stemen, Cameron Bidlack, Lynn Bidlack, Ryan Bidlack, Dustin Bidlack and Heather Grant; 28 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Bidlack and Jeff Bidlack, a brother, Guy Mansfield, and sisters, Orpha Collier, Eva Wilson, Nova Scarbrough and one sister who died in infancy.
She was a homemaker who attended Mandale Church of Christ, Mandale, Ohio. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and singing. She was a graduate of Grover Hill High School.
Service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Mandale Church of Christ, Mandale. The Rev. Don Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, and one hour prior to funeral services Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, due to flower allergies, the family asks that memorials be directed to Mandale Church of Christ or Grover Hill EMS.
