Stacy McClellan

Stacy Lynn McClellan, 41, went to be with Jesus on Aug. 15, 2014. She passed away at the University of Michigan Hospital at 5:20 p.m.

Stacy was born May 31, 1973, to Patricia McClellan of Traverse City, Michigan, and the late Ron McClellan of Van Wert, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her brother: Dustin McClellan.

Survivors include sister: Brenda (Dennis) Mengerink of Middle Point; brother: David McClellan of Traverse City, Michigan; nephews: Shane (Lindsay) Shugart of Van Wert, Josten Mengerink of West Virginia and Chris Boroff of Van Wert; nieces: Ashley (Jamie) Edwards of Middle Point and Kennedy Mengerink of Van Wert. She was great aunt to Layton Edwards of Middle Point. Her life partner was Suzan J. Morrison of Michigan. She was the daughter-in-law of Henry and sister-in-law of Jim, both of Michigan. Uncles Gary McClellan of Convoy and Glen (Vicki) McClellan of Van Wert, aunt Linda Lund of Waldorf, Maryland, as well as several cousins also survive.

Stacy loved life and everything about it, she was an avid softball player and huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Miami Dolphins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Popevil, and Bon Jovi. She will truly be missed by all.

There will be a celebration of life service at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, Van Wert, on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 12-2 p.m.

Memorial contributions to go to Brenda Mengerink which will be fully passed on to the University of Michigan Hospital for further research of HLH. Dress will be OSU or Blue Jackets in her honor.
