Stanley Tolan

VAN WERT - Stanley R. Tolan, 88, of Van Wert, died at 12:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Van Wert Manor, Van Wert.
He was born Jan. 3, 1924, in Van Wert, to the late Marcille (Miller) Tolan and Walter Tolan. His wife, Joan K. (Wolfe) Tolan, died July 16, 1997.
Survivors include a son: Ronald Tolan of Van Wert, five granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Maurice Tolan.
He retired as plant manager for Van Wert Manufacturing, Van Wert, after 42 years of service.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Van Wert, an Army veteran of WWII, a member of Van Wert American Legion and a former member of Van Wert Amateur Radio Club.
There will be no public services. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert County Foundation.
