Stephen Fennig

Stephen M. Fennig of Van Wert, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 4, 1957, in Mercer County, Ohio, to Donald E. Fennig, who survives of Van Wert, and the late Marilyn M. (Miller) Fennig.
Survivors include his children: Jacquelyn Wolford of Ottawa, Ohio, Kayla (Noel) Morris of Venedocia, Ohio, and Derek E. Fennig of Pinellas Park, Florida, sisters: Sharon Franklin of Walton, Kentucky, Leslie (Steven Hughes) Fennig of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Stephanie Fennig of Van Wert, and a grandchild: Blake Morris.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Mark A. Fennig.
He was a diesel mechanic with G.L.M. Trucking in Rockford, Ohio. He was a devoted father, an avid Harley-Davidson and gun enthusiast, and loved animals.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Will Haggis will officiate. Burial will take place at 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Wabash, Ohio. Friends and family are invited to 220 Wassenberg Drive, Van Wert, at 2 p.m. for food and fellowship.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Also, one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
