T. Joanne (Ulm) (Wilson) Galloway, 82, of Van Wert, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born on Aug. 26, 1931, in Delphos, Ohio, to Raymond and Halla (Cherry) Ulm whom preceded her in death.
She graduated from St. John's Catholic High School in 1948 in Delphos.
She married the late Dr. Thomas R. Wilson on July 14, 1967. Joanne and Bob Galloway met and then married on May 14, 2000. They enjoyed traveling to Florida, golfing, and socializing with friends and family.
Her hobbies included golfing with her friends, playing solitaire, reading, and working on crossword puzzles. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends who enjoyed wonderful times sharing her dishes together. Joanne also loved her kitty Yoda curled up in her lap.
Joanne was a member of Twigs IV where she volunteered at Van Wert County Hospital, Willow Bend Country Club, and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Van Wert. She worked at Van Wert County Hospital in admissions and also in the radiology department. She later sold real estate in the Van Wert and Celina areas.
Joanne is survived by her husband: Bob; children: Linda (James D.) Moran, Douglas (Debra) Borden, Jane (Randy) Lintermoot, and Kathie (Stan) Hitchcock; stepchildren: Ken (Shirley) Galloway and Larry (Sandy) Galloway; grandchildren: Brad (Junko) Borden, Jill (Mike) Carlson, Jeff (Amy) Lintermoot, Kasey Lintermoot, Adam Johnson, and Andrew Johnson. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Brothers Raymond and Martin Ulm and sister Regina Schimmoeller also precede Joanne in death.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 3-7:30 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:15 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, 722 S. Washington St. in Van Wert.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Obinwa presiding assisted by Rev. Paul Miller at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 601 Jennings Road in Van Wert.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations are made to Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
