Thomas Hoblet

Thomas M. Hoblet, age 68, of Van Wert, passed away 2:30 AM Monday, November 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 5, 1949 in Van Wert to Ruth (Clark) Hoblet and the late Donald "Whitey" Hoblet.

Tom worked at Aeroquip for 21 before moving to Toledo Mold and Die, where he retired. He was a proud member of the Robert G. Longwell VFW Auxiliary Post 5803 and the Sons of the American Legion Isaac Van Wert Post 178. Tom also enjoyed volunteering annually at Wetzelland for over 20 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Raellen (Gleckler) Hoblet of Van Wert, OH; daughters, Christy (Corey) Evans of Van Wert, OH; Bridget (Ryan Suffel) Hoblet of Hicksville, OH; Allison Hoblet of Greenville, OH; mother, Ruth Hoblet of Van Wert, OH; stepchildren, Hope Jenkins-Obrien of WI; Peggy (Ron) Menke of Fort Jennings, OH; Bo Clark of FL; brother, Floyd Hoblet of Van Wert, OH; sister, Pam (Jim) McIntosh of IL; son-in-law: Neil Felver of TN; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Tom was preceded in death by a daughter, Tiffany Felver and a grandson, Cai Evans, and his step-mother, Alice Hoblet.

A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be from 2 to 6 pm on Saturday, December 9th, 2017 at VFW Post 5803, 111 N Shannon St, Van Wert, OH 45891.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to CHP Home Care & Hospice.
