Thomas Werling

Thomas J. Werling “Noodles”, 56, of Defiance, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at his residence.
He was September 10, 1960, in Van Wert to Melvin “Peck” Werling and Bonnie (Bebout) Hoffman, both preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son, Clint Werling of Columbus, Ohio; and sisters, Beckie (Paul) Allison of Fremont, Indiana, and Diane (Ron) Walters of Kissimmee, Florida.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Daniel “Beef” Werling.
Tom was involved his entire life in the car industry, whether it was helping his father at his car dealership as a young boy to selling cars as an adult.
He formerly attended Convoy United Methodist Church.
Tom was also a US Navy veteran where he was a member of the Seabees.
He was ornery to the core and was happiest spending time with his family and friends.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Convoy United Methodist Church, Convoy. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Pastor Melissa Steinecker officiating.
Preferred memorials are to the Defiance Fellowship Club or AMVETS.
