Todd M. Fickert, 44, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 4:56 PM at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Todd was born on November 13, 1970 in Decatur, Indiana to Richard "Dick" and Virginia "Gini" (Hofmann) Fickert, both survive in Rockford. He graduated from Parkway and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Schumm. After graduation, he went to Bowling Green University. Todd then transferred to Ohio State University. He was a Customer Service Representative for Verizon Communications. He was an avid Buckeye fan as well as NASCAR's Sprint Cup racing. Todd enjoyed the music of Randy Travis and was a singer himself. He performed the National Anthem a number of times while in school at Parkway. Surviving, besides his parents, is 1 brother: Ron (Sherry) Fickert of Houston, Ohio. Also surviving are aunts and uncles: Diane & Alan Schott, Willshire and Karen & Rob Egley, Decatur, Indiana. 3 nephews: Lee (Jessica) Jury, Piqua, Ohio; Tyler Fickert, Sidney, Ohio; and Dustin Fickert, Akron, Ohio survive. 1 great-nephew and 3 great-nieces also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home with Pastor Chip Steffy at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2015. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, Ohio. They may also visit the family, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the Ohio State University Wexner Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
