VAN WERT, Ohio - Virginia E. "Ginger" Gribler, 85, Van Wert, died at 4:20 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert.
She was born April 20, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Mildred (Fulton) McGrew and Leslie F. "Mac" McGrew. Her husband, Forrest W. Gribler, survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include her children: David (Beth) H. Gribler of Powell, Ohio, and Sara E. (Roger) Grone of Delphos, Ohio, two sisters: Elizabeth (Ralph) Tribolet of Van Wert and Mickey (William) Pheanis of Powell, and two grandchildren: Ashlee (Kyle) Kovacs and Haley Gribler.
She was preceded in death by a son.
She was the former secretary for Wortman Bros. Construction, Van Wert. A member of First United Methodist Church in Van Wert, she sang in the church choir for over 50 years and was a member of TWIGS III, Evergreen Garden Club and Order of Eastern Star.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is First United Methodist Church, Van Wert.
