Vivian Davis

Vivian M. Davis, 87, of Rockford, died at 12:20 P.M. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford. She was born on July 1, 1925, in Ohio City, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Daisy Welcome (Stutz) Mihm. She was a 1943 graduate of Ohio City Liberty School. -She was employed at the former National Seal, now Federal Mogul in Van Wert, where she retired after 38 years. She has lived in the area all her life, and has been a resident of Rockford since 1949. Surviving are a son Gary (Ruth) Davis, Rockford, Ohio, and a daughter, Connie (Don) Conn, Celina, Ohio, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Deceased are four sisters: Maxine Myers, Irene Williams, Lois Snyder, and an infant, along with a brother, Carl Mihm. Services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Rev Richard VanHorn officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Monday, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice or to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
