William Scott "Bill" Thiebaut, 49, died on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 6:50am at his Mother's home in Ft. Wayne , IN after a long illness. He was born on July 29, 1962 in Greensburg, PA. He is survived by his mother E. Lynne (Craig) Boggs of Ft. Wayne, In, his father and stepmother William H. and Cindy (Thitoff) Thiebaut of Van Wert, OH, his children, Kaury D. Thiebaut of Van Wert, Kelby D. Thiebaut of Angola, IN. A grandson, Tristin N. Thiebaut of Van Wert, three sisters, Robin [Stephen] Springer of Convoy, OH, Sherry Wermer of Noblesville, IN, Holly Thiebaut of Ft. Wayne, IN. He was also the favorite Uncle of many surviving nieces and a nephew. Bill graduated from Van Wert High School and Vantage Career Center in 1980. He joined the U.S. Navy afterward, serving on the USS Dixie and the USS Pyro until 1983. Bill worked for All American Homes, Advanced Mixers, and Williams Construction. Bill enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his step father, John Boggs, his paternal grandparents, Francis "Tiny" Thiebaut, and Irene (Kerin) Thiebaut Daffler. Maternal grandparents Jane (Freeman) and Lyle Weldon and Richard Craig. Visitation with the family will be held Friday March 30, 2012 at 2:00pm-8:00pm at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, OH. The memorial service is set Saturday the 31st at 2:00pm at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, OH. Pastor Jim Burns is to officiate. Military services will be held by the Van Wert posts of the American Legion and VFW. Preferred memorials to Heartland Hospice, Fort Wayne IN, and American Legion Post #178 to benefit veterans and military families in need.
